Reviews and Feedback for eBook Be the Church

Seth McBee

BetheChurchCoverHere at the GCM Collective, we are always trying to find and create more and more resources to come along side the church so that they can BE the church to those they have been sent to show off what God is like.  Recently, we published our first eBook: Be the Church: Discipleship and Mission Made Simple 10 Drawings - 10 Conversations.  It has been overwhelming to see the response.

I get sporadic emails about how people are using it and ways they have found it helpful.  We'd like to hear from you.  How are you using it? How have you found it helpful?  What could we improve on as we look to continue in this series of practical eBooks?

Your reviews and ideas will help others to use this resource that was made for everyone in the church, so that they could understand what it looks like to Be the Church.

So, leave us links, pictures, reviews...whatever you want...we want to hear from you!

Seth, I am just getting my MC underway. With the help and coaching of our good friend Gino. I used the Be the church Ebook and a sample MC Covenant off the GCM site this week. We all took turns reading the story of the Gospel from the Ebook off my Ipad to stimulate a guided discussion after our meal. After a few minutes the conversation lead nicely into the Gospel Statement on the covenant. I passed around copies for everyone and we continued moving deeper into how the gospel forms a family on mission. Next week we will do the same as we move into Gospel identity. The really seemed to blend nicely.

Aloha Seth. We are kicking off MC Groups with our first presentation meeting. I wanted to know if we could get permission to make copies of the Be the Church ebook. This is a great and yet simple way to help people understand MC from a conversational point. We are having our meeting in a few hours. Its okay if we can't but I wanted to be upfront about it. Thanks

I think the drawings are really useful in this, and so are some of the conversations within it. But many of the conversations don't really seem to explain or comment directly on the drawings. Thankfully I'm familiar enough with Soma material that it isn't really an issue, but for this to be more beneficial to a wider audience, I wonder if you guys might think about a couple of pages explaining each drawing in each chapter before the quoted conversation. It may make a big difference in overall comprehension and helping people use this material. Just one guy's input! Keep up the great work.
